Humanitarian Aid Committee

Irish ACEP Team Serves in Pakistan

Teamwork works!

Sarah Bird and Paul O'Connor from Ireland headed to Pakistan at the invitation of colleagues and friends to provide trauma training in light of the suffering from the Pakanstanian earthquake. The ACEP board of directors made a $1,500 donation to this effort and raised $2,200 at the May 2006 ACEP annual meeting in Santa Clara. The Humanitarian Aid Committee reviewed Sarah and Paul's proposal and offered advice, support and prayers to send them off in a light of protection.

Sarah & Paul were the joint recipients of the Humanitarian Aid Award bestowed at the 2007 Annual International Psychology Conference in April in Chantilly, Virginia.

Humanitarian Aid Awards

April 2007, Sarah Bird & Paul O'Connor

May 2006, John Hartung

John Hartung, past chair of the humanitarian committee, was presented an award for his continuous humanitarian service throughout the world. Michael Galvin, his colleague and friend, presented the award on behalf of the ACEP board and read an inspiring dedication to him, catching John off-guard and bringing surprised joy!

Humanitarian Aid Project Proposal Form

ACEP accepts a humanitarian co-sponsored application procedure.

During a conference call in June, the ACEP board accepted an application procedure drafted by the humanitarian chair outlining funding request or co-sponsor guidelines. View the form (PDF). Send an email to Dr. Bulbrook at maryjo@energymedicinepartnerships.com to request the form as a Microsoft Word document.
